My first spruce grouse photos captured in Nemaiah Valley near Chaunigan Lake, Britsh Columbia. It was another day where there were no people at or near the lake. I passed several lakes on my way. It's all dirt roads and the entire way into the lake, I didn't pass another vehicle. Again, it felt like I'd stepped back in time. The female, first pictured below, let me spend about thirty minutes with her. She got calm enough to just lie down in front of me. I stayed at about 10 feet away from her.
Along the dirt road toward the lake, spent time with this little guy. It's either a red squirrel or a pine squirrel.
