Greyhounds are strong, healthy dogs. They are very active and need a ton of attention. But people take advantage of their passion to run and turn it into a way for people to make money. Greyhound racing is not okay, they are forced to run for hours every day. Grey hounds are very sensitive to extreme weather conditions as in below zero weather and scorching hot temperatures.
There have been 11,700 reports of dead greyhounds because of racing. This is mostly from broken bones, crushed sculls, and more than 3,000 broken legs! Many greyhounds are drugged with cocaine and steroids to make them stronger.
