Pit Bulls: The Hard Lives They Endure

Pit bulls are loving dogs even though they were bred to be fighting dogs. Unfortunately, not everyone is kind and caring about animals. Some people have very sick minds. These people (often with criminal records) will adopt a pit bull and take his/her sweet personality away, torturing the animal until it becomes  a vicious killer. Then they set free them on innocent people. You would think that such people would be arrested, but they often aren’t. Instead, the authorities put the dogs down for a crime they had no choice but to commit.

It is difficult to decide which is worse: the pit bull getting put down for attacking, or that they are killed for disobeying their masters. Out of fear, many towns ban pit bulls. Personally, I think those places should ban crazy people, not animals.

Do they expect pit bulls to know that they shouldn’t attack? Are they expected to know the law? Did anyone ever tell them? No. They shouldn’t be. Crazy people, yes. Innocent pooches, no way. Fortunately, there are people who see right and wrong. These people are trying to make changes. In conclusion, pit bulls receive more unfair treatment than any other dog in America. Hopefully, this will change someday.

My name is Nora. I’m 12 years old and now in Middle School. I live in Colorado. I have a sister, a mother, and a stepfather. I don't have any pets, but I still love animals. My favorite animal is a leopard seal. I have a bunch of pictures on my bedroom wall of them. I also like servals, fossas, rhinos, elephants, tapers, and  sea turtles. I love to read, run, and  ride my bike. I play the violin and  the piano. My biggest dream is to be an occupational  therapist, so I can help children with cerebral  palsy. My favorite band  is the Beatles. I would like to write about leopard  seals and other animals in the North and South Pole such as penguins and orcas.   THANKS FOR READING!
